Jo Taylor BSc, Cert Counselling
I am in Advanced Clinical Training
at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy, and I
am a member of the ITA (Institute of Transactional Analysis).
I abide by their Codes of Ethics and Professional Practice.
I work with a broad range of issues, in both private practice and voluntary settings. I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship can be a vehicle for personal growth and change. A safe and supportive environment offers the space to explore and reflect upon how we have been shaped by our past influences, and how we can harness our innate resources to bring about the changes we want. Those changes will usually be about wanting to feel, think or behave differently.
Sessions are usually held on a weekly basis (in Chorlton) and last 50 minutes. The total number of sessions required will vary from person to person, depending upon your individual needs and goals.
I offer a free 30 minute consultation to discuss your situation and to see if therapy is right for you.
I understand how daunting it can be to take that first step, and I would like to reassure you that you will be welcomed into a friendly, confidential and professional environment.
